We are pleased to present you a "Grimoire" created with passion during the exciting Ludum Dare 55 game jam. This time's theme, "Summoning", inspired us to be creative and allowed us to combine the mystical with the mechanical, which led to a unique combination of RTS and Roguelike gameplay. (Many of whose mechanics are not yet involved in the game, ha-ha •᷄ࡇ•᷅ )

Over the past three weeks, our team has been working hard to turn this intriguing concept into a functional prototype. This initial version is just the basis of what we plan to create. As we move forward, we look forward to improving the mechanics of the "Grimoire", expanding its capabilities and improving the overall experience of the game.

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue developing "Grimoire". What you see today is just the beginning, a hint of the potential that we strive to unlock. We plan to improve the gameplay, expand its capabilities and polish the mystical world to make the game even more exciting. We hope that you will enjoy discovering the secrets of the "Grimoire" as much as we enjoyed creating them.

GRIMOIRE beckons those daring to harness its ancient magic, blending RTS and Roguelike elements where destiny unfolds with each encounter. This tome of power, destined for the hands of the brave or foolish, awaits a true master to unlock its secrets.

As an aspiring mage, you find this relic and discover its ability to breathe life into beings. In moments of reprieve, known as the Calm, you must quickly inscribe arcane words to summon soldiers, conjure mana, and fortify your forces.

But you are not alone in your quest. Rival mages, driven by ambition, challenge you, sparking the Clash where your strategic decisions meet magical confrontations. Your summoned minions march autonomously towards enemy thrones, their traits as varied as the stars.

Your goal is to prove your worth through battle, establishing yourself as the rightful bearer of the Grimoire. Failure means passing the mantle to another, potentially relegating you to a mere footnote in the saga of the true Chosen.

This game of power and deception questions if defeat signifies you were not meant to be the Chosen. The saga of the Grimoire continues, its pages still open for those brave enough to write their destiny. Will you be the master, or fade into obscurity?
